RISING

So this is it. We’ve entered the studio the studio with producer Jakob Reichert Nielsen to record our second album. We’ll post some updates and pics along the way, so check out the site now and then, if you’re interested. Now, let’s do this!

We’re heading to Germany in May to play three dates with our friends and fellow Danes in The KANDIDATE. If you don’t know them, get acquainted fast and meet a lean, mean metal/punk machine. And we’ll be playing some new songs from the forthcoming RISING album along with some old stuff, off course. Looking forward to the following German dates:

02.05.2013 – Kiel, Schaubude
03.05.2013 – Berlin, Jägerklause
04.05.2013 – Leipzig, Bandhaus

2012 has been a active year for us releasing ”To Solemn Ash” in North America and touring Europe, our native Denmark and playing a couple of festivals on the way as well. On another level we’ve also used this year to write a lot of new material in which we’re trying to explore new grounds and redefine the band while still staying true to what has been essential for the band from the very beginning: Aggression, heaviness, melodic sense….and RIFFS.
In the spring of 2013 we will record the new songs, which will take form as our second album and we hope to release the album the same year – more news on that in the months to come. For now we want to send out a huge thanks and happy New Year to all the people who have been supporting RISING in any form, may that be in working directly with us or enjoying the music. A happy 2013 to you all!

New limited RISING shirt just came in. It is be available at our forthcoming shows for 100 DKK and in our web shop for the price of 90 DKK/12 €/17 $ plus postage. The shirt will be up in the shop soon, but we’re open for orders now. Thanks a lot to our buddy Thomas Delaney of KillerTees.ie and Nicolai Beider of Bemerk for doing a great job!

Our drummer Jacob will unfortunately not be able to do the upcoming Headbangers Ball Tour, Therefore we’ve enrolled our good friend Jeppe Munk Aakeson to fill in for Jacob on this tour.
Jeppe is an awesome drummer, who’s been previously been kicking ass in bands like Flame On, Iota and Last Mile and as of now he’s in a new hardcore band with personnel from The Psyke Project and As We Fight.
So these days we’re practicing our HBB set, which will feature material from all three RISING releases plus a brand new song which carry the working title “SATAN”. Will that work for you?

We will be a part of the Danish HEADBANGERS BALL TOUR in November presented by 3rd Tsunami Agency and MTV.

“To Solemn Ash” is now available at our BandCamp as a high quality digital download or FLAC at the price of 10$ (ca. 8 €). The album is off course also available for streaming at the same site, as well as our other online platforms:

Our label Exile On Mainstream has made our debut album “To Solemn Ash” permanently available for HQ streaming at their site. Also it’s streaming on this site in the media section, on Facebook/Bandpage. From tomorrow the album will be made available as digital download from BandCamp at a favourable price. RISING will play this years COPENHELL festival in Copenhagen, Denmark.
We will hit the Pandæmonium Stage (small stage) on Friday 15th, time slot TBA.
